NICOLLET AVENUE

"Nicollet Avenue" is a short film by Body Cartography dance company. It documents the improvised movements and sounds of a pair of dancers as they make their way up Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, interacting with their environment along the way.

I gathered location sound during the shoot, then smoothed it all out in post production afterwards. The resulting soundscape features a rich variety of tonal and rhythmic elements. Here are some excerpts of the finished piece:
