RINGTONE
"Ringtone" is a play by Alan Berks that explores what happens to the self-- and to one's capacity to love-- in a hyperlinked, hyperconnected, socially networked and media-saturated world. I was the sound designer for the play's initial production (further development of the piece may be in the works). This clip demonstrates some Foley and post-production editing as the actress taps on what appears to be glass in front of her. In reality she's not tapping on anything, since the glass we were using threw too much of a glare. So I recorded myself tapping on a TV screen and synched up individual taps to match her gestures.
