Above: When St Jude Medical (now Abbott) unveiled their Burst DR pain management technology in an explainer video, Junior Birdman Audio was ready to provide all the sound services required-- from voiceover engineering to an original musical score to sound edit and final mix. Since I created both music and sound design, I was able to assemble a palette of FX cues that corresponded to the exact tempo and harmonic progression of the music. The result worked out well— a satisfying experience all around.

Above: Sound edit and mix for this highlight reel promoting the services of hypnotist Amye Scharlau. Dialog edit was as forensic as time permitted; some EQ, de-noising and a bit of spectral waveform repair here and there. Many of the audience reaction audio clips were distorted past the point of usability, so I swapped in cues from my library as substitutes. Client took the time on Twitter to tell me she was thrilled with the results!

Above: It was a pleasure to work with Crash + Sues on this project. Junior Birdman Audio engineered voiceover, edited FX, and mixed this video to kick off Chainbreaker 2017. A three-day celebration of cycling entertainment and volunteerism, Chainbreaker directs 100% of all rider-raised donations to cancer research at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota.

ORIGINAL MUSIC, SOUND EDIT + MIX: CEPHEID, GXnext

Above: I composed music, created sound design elements and executed the final mix on this explainer for the medical technology firm Cepheid, promoting a data mangement system called GXnext. This is another project where I was able to extrapolate sound design elements from the music, creating a bespoke soundscape where all sonic elements were consonant with each other.

AUDIO POST: ROCHESTER MOTOR CARS “EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE” CAMPAIGN

Above: Dialog edit, sound design, sweetening, and final mix for Rochester Motor Cars’ “Experience the Difference” campaign. We mixed several TV spots plus this online video (above), which serves as kind of anthology collecting elements of the other pieces.

ORIGINAL MUSIC + MIX FOR “GIVE IT A WHIRL”, ONLINE PROMO FOR SPARKHOUSE ANIMATED SERIES

I composed this theme music and its variations heard throughout for “Whirl”, an animated liturgical education series produced by Sparkhouse in conjunction with print media materials for a young audience. I also mixed this video. Here’s a reel of more music I composed for the series, for which I also served as sound editor and mixer.
